Have heard a lot of good things about Krugers, never been though. I am liking Napoli Pizza in Haverhill though. The original pizza is beach style w/ no mozzarella, just dusted w/ parmesan & romano over the sauce. It's different but very good.

Tried Napoli once hoping it would be similar to Leone's and it was good just not my favorite. Tripoli's in N. Andover has a decent piece of beach style pizza if you haven't been there.

To all of those commenting on the Papa Gino's pizza I agree that it is one of the better chain pizzas out there.

I either do Tripolis when I'm at the beach or Krueger's in Haverhill for flatbread

My parents are from Somerville and we use to get Leone's all the time... it honestly has nothing over Angelo's in Stoneham's deep dish. If you're a Sicilian pizza fan do yourself a favor and try it.

I wont eat Leone's anymore, WAY to greasy and the cheese is like rubber... I drive right through Somerville on my way to Stoneham from Cambridge. It's twice as far to drive but WELL worth it.

If we're talking actually in Boston, Picco is good IMO [grew up 15 mins from New Haven]. Haven't tried many places up here yet though.

    Love this thread!

I grew up in hartford but I concur with the New Haven is the epicenter for epic pizza.

I live up northern CT now but you gotta check out Little City Pizza in Simsbury (Margarita Pizza w/ Pepperoni) and Roma's pizza in East Hartford (GRILLED Buffalo Chicken Pizza) Itll change your life... def hidden gems.

So the epicenter of pizza is Bridgeport?

No fan of NJ but the best pizza I've had is at run-of-the-mill pizza joints there. Deep dish Sicilian that weighs a pound a slice is my favorite.

Also I think the Providence RI dudes are gonna want to fight. So will Santarpio's. And Regina's.
