At no time did any govt official say try would hurt, harm, or use violence against anyone driving during the snow ban. A fine for disobeying the governors orders, yes, but nothing else.

There's a inconsistency in the four statements above - you claim the right to vote isn't a right because there are legal limitations placed on the ability to exercise that right. There are also legal limitations placed on the other rights you listed, depending on where you are and your citizenship status. If the definition of universal rights is, "it depends on where you are and your citizenship status", then either they're all rights, or none of them are.

Back on the original topic, I think it's interesting that after a major storm, the weather reporting for tonight's storm is a very casual reporting of another 8"-12" storm. At least they're not making a big deal out of tonight's storm on Channel 5.

* Visibilities...One Quarter Mile Or Less At Times.

as much as i would like to agree with all of these, they just arent true. ive numbered them to make this easier.
1--voting is a right you have as a US citizen, since i originally thought the conversation was limited to scope within our borders i treated it as such, now that i know it isnt. you are correct.
2--i guess countries like the UK should get with the times then since even the police dont have guns. so, not true
3--as long as you have "zee paperz". then again, you cant drive (or enter) canada if you have had a DUI, so i guess thats not true either
4--i wish i could list what countries that some or none of those are true.

The U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, any and all other documents do NOT give anyone any rights; rights are things we have as humans.
The best any of those documents can do is to guarantee a respect for those rights, and that's what the Bill of Rights does.
It does not create any rights. It does not bestow any rights. It does not create some new special class of "American rights" that is different from the rights of non-American humans.
It prohibits the U.S. government from violating people's pre-existing rights, for any humans under its jurisdiction for any reason.

well, i agree with most of this. one could argue that if one came from a country where they were prohibited from voting, or travelling, or owning a gun, or free speech to the US then those would be rights that were given or bestowed to them once they become a US citizen.

This is why your arguments have been inconsistent and have made no sense -- you are trying to argue about what is and isn't a right, without understanding what a right is.

SUSTAINED or FREQUENT gusts of 35mph +
Visibility of 1/4 mile or less for PROLONGED period.

So it's close but no cigar.

EVERYTHING the government does is backed by hurt, harm, violence. It's inherent in the concept.

No, there is not an inconsistency. The reason voting is not a right isn't because of restrictions; it's because the ability to vote inherently depends on governance -- no governance, no vote. The privilege of voting is meaningless for an individual person; it depends on society, and the form of society, to exist. The other items listed are all inherent rights that hold to any individual anywhere and do not depend on government or society to exist.
