I've had the Stiletto since it came out, and overall i've been very happy with it. The ability to pause and rewind live radio, and ability ro record programming in 6 hour blocks are awesome, as well as the ability to go through hours of programming and only save the songs you want. As far as reception in suburban areas, i've never had any issues, however i'm not exactly sure what you mean by patching into an underseat antenna. I've had this unit hardwired into 2 cars, with the antenna on the trunk, with no problems. One issue, however, is that the FM output doesn't seem as strong on this unit as in my old Sportster, and therefore i've used a FM direct adapter in both my applications with great success. I would highly recommend the direct adapter with this unit, for $30 or so its worth every penny. Also, one other issue i've experienced is that on hot summer days when the car sits in direct sunlight for several hours, the unit will not work immediately after turning the car on. What i've done to fix this is pull it from it's dock, remove the battery, and hold it up to the a/c vent for 30 seconds or so, and it's worked every time. Hope this was of some help to you.

One thing I forgot to mention, the "on the go" use, using it like a walkman with the antenna headphones. I forgot to mention it because I consider it totally worthless and a waste of time. I've had no success with this in that the reception not only sucks, it also kills your battery in no time. If I plan on using it on the go, I record programming beforehand and use it like an iPod, which works wonderfully...
Thanks Nick, I've been told that the car (Mini Cooper) without Sirius has the antenna dead end under the passenger seat which can then be used as the antenna for a mobile unit. Ideally I wouldn't use the FM antenna route, I'd love to find a way to connect and get true digital quality.
