I apologize in advance but this made me laugh. I got stuck in an elevator for a few hours once in Lake Placid...but it was cuz a douche on my hockey team pulled open the doors while we were between floors which caused it to shut down.

I hope they're not trying to start a trend here of making you do actual work at work. That could really cut into your ability to post stories of people shitting in the lobby. On the other hand, it could open up a new avenue of posting stories about people shitting in the elevator. In the end, I think the internet would appreciate the added variety of stories about shitting in other places, so this really could be a good career move if you leverage it properly.

He forgot to hold the switch. If you hate people, when you get in an elevator release the doors and hold the switch, it'll stop on all requested floors but the doors won't open. Be carefull not to lose an arm or die while doing this.
