Ford wins on fleet sales, after you take out the fleet sales that are purchased my bean counters, and look at those purchased by someone who actually drives em too, GM/Chevy is on top

I was curious about how big the “Ungiant” pickup market is. 2018 sales.
Tacoma 183,909 - 49% of market
Colorado 104,838 + Canyon 25,274 - 35%
Frontier 59,574 -16%
Total market was 373,595, add 22,000 if you want to include the Honda Ridgeline. That’s only 15-20% of the “Pickup Maru” market.

Towed my 14x6.5x7'tall v-nose trailer to Rhode Island and back this past weekend.
The little Tacoma that could, did. Sure, it wasn't fast, and 4th gear was needed to keep 70mph on hills on the highway, but it did it.
Sure, it got miserable fuel economy. But the trade-off on towing MPG is worth the increased daily fuel economy. I don't tow 98% of the time. For it to be a bit slower, and a bit thirstier, than a fullsize those 5-10 times a year while towing is better than being thirstier every day on my way to work and back.
Mid-size trucks are a compromise of every situation. They do nothing great, but everything fine.

I'll say again, I would have much preferred to buy a '03/04 4 door Tacoma in great condition than buying the Ram that I'm driving now. For 99.9% of what I do, it's more than enough truck. Unfortunately I made the mistake of showing the missus the interior of a crew cab half ton and now I have 52 more payments to make. Thanks Obama.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief

who the f charges 1400 for leaf springs!
Are Chevy/gmc full size trucks/suvs the only vehicles that have heated seats that you can select back only?
Your park avenue leads to..
I think the Colorado has this option too.
I would be really surprised if the GM trucks were the only ones. Plenty of others must.
I used the back-only option many times after long track days or race weekends.
That a gm quirk.
Back of seat is nice, warms the soul without the threat of swampass.

they had 32k miles on them, but there was an "incident" of them being overloaded and driven on the bump stops for 10 miles.
three 3,000lb pallets of stone on a trailer, me saying "ok, two is enough" and my father in law saying "GO AHEAD AND PUT THE THIRD ONE ON", they did, everything was overloaded, got them to take the third pallet off the trailer, but that left the other two too far forward.
Simplifying here, and my father in law is a good guy.
Way to make an ugly truck uglier!
Looks just like how Ford ruined the Econoline several years ago.

I hope the GMC version looks better.

You sure that’s a Chevrolet? The branding cues are so subtle....
