hope you got the optional granite edges...
That's a nice set up you got there. This no snow shit is killing me. My GF bought me a season pass to Wachusett and it is collecting dust. In the mean time I have been doing the same with new gear.
Nice setup. I had a season pass to Wachusett for years and took at least 1 trip to Tremblant every winter. Unfortunately life gets in the way sometimes and my stuff has been sitting in my board bag for the past two years.
Always liked rome boards, I'm going to have to look for a new setup next year, Ive been using my old style M3 axis for about 7 years although probably 3 of those years it hasn't even been ridden. Going up to bretton woods monday-wednesday hoping the conditions will be alright, but not really getting my hopes up for anything special.
Bretton Woods is AWESOME for snowboarding...
As is Jay Peak...
Nice board
Still don't get why people like flows. I can get in and out of my bindings just as fast and I get way more support and response.
going to CO in three weeks to hit up A-Basin, Vail, Breck, and Keystone. Pumped.
Have flows as well and love em.

[QUOTE=scubasteveRR;1133500]i'm pretty sure Wachusett has 10 trails open already
Really? That's great to know. Last I checked there were only 4 trails open.

Well alright then I know where I'm going Monday.![]()
Depends on how you rate trails vs. runs.
5 trails from the Summit
1-Upper Conifer
2-Lower Conifer
Both combined are 1 run but are considered a "family trail" where they'll pull your ticket for speeding. So those 2 trails become a 0 for me.
3-Upper 10th
4-Lower 10th
Both combined are 1 run.
5-Salamander Cutoff
This is a half run that you can choose as an alternative to Lower 10th. I count it as 1/2 run.
3 trails from Mid-Mountain
6-Ralph's Run
Another "family trail" where they'll pull your ticket for speeding. I count that a 0
7-Look Mom
This is the terrain park. It only counts as a run if you sit through the safety video first and then want to play on the hits. I count it as a 0
8-Challenger
This is 1 run (unless there's a race, in which case it's closed).
They have 2 trails from Lower-Mountain
9-Indian Summer (bunny hill)
10-Ollies (bunny hill)
I consider these a 0
So, opinions vary but I'm going to give Wachusett a run count of 2 1/2. That decreases to 1 1/2 if there's a race in progress.
but he has a seasons pass, I wouldn't pay to ski there yet but if I didn't have to pay i'd be there. why not... shake the cobwebs off the old skiing muscles and get a few turns in.
I can agree with you on that one. i do hate the way they name trails to make it look like they are huge/have lots of terrain open. one of the reasons I like Sunday River a lot. it's so spread out most trails go top to bottom and you're not going down a trail 2 feet from another trail separated by a line of trees so they can call it two different runs
hahahha yeah, last year I was all....
"I've played hockey twice a week for two years now. my legs are in great shape for skiing this year, i wont have any first day soreness"
then day two of my two day skiing trip I was in SOO much pain. i skiied the whole day burning my legs on every run and paid for it for 4 days after when I couldn't walk down stairs too well.
hockey definitly uses different muscles thats for damn sure!
true that, i guess it would be easier to find people when you break the trails down like that.
and yes, i learned that one that hard way. when I thought about it after. I realized in hockey I’m using my legs to push off, where as in skiing I am using my legs to counter act the force of gravity and my weight like a set of shocks.

Since there seems to be some experts here on the subject, allow me to pick your brains. I have a 4 year old Burton Elite 155 that I'm looking to replace. Most of my time is mainly all mountain but occasionally I will venture into the park and do a jump, hurt myself and move on. I still use and LOVE my Switch bindings. I like the feel of them, and 9 out of 10 times can get locked in before I'm off the chair. I get some strange looks for using them still but usually thats from people sitting down trying to get strapped in as I breeze by. I'm currently eying this

any recommendations? suggestions? Who to stay away from?
Are the switch bindings the kind that click in on the sides of your boot? Also I personally love Lib Tech. I have tried out 4 of their boards so far and they all put a smile on my face. Right now I have a Burton Deuce that I want to replace with a cheaper Lib, but I can wait another season.
