scholarships dude , you don't know how many scholarships are out there , my brother got a full one and hes grades or SAT's arn't that good.

Hell I have a hardcore science degree, I'd *still* recommend public schools for engineering/science/math. There are many out there (UMich, VATech, Ill Tech, GATech just to name a few) that rank right up there with the private institutions on the sciences, for less than half the cost. Between state tuition and summer jobs, I was left with less than $15k to pay off after 4 years of college...State schools kick ass.

Plus, there's the off chance your school might have a football team...I mean, one that *wins*

you did well daniel-san. i did a 5 year program at a private school and only came out with $20k in bills, not quite as good, but not too bad.

senior year as a TA had a lot to do with that since they paid my tuition.

if you bust your ass there are ways to get through most schools, you just have to reallly want to.

Huh...I just graduated with my Bachelor's. My loans are about $20k...but thanks to the GI Bill and my company reimbursing tuition...I get to pay the bill off in one shot!! With money left over to play with.
