The install for SP3 corrupted Windows on my father's computer (it's a really old computer though). Thankfully I had my XP install disc handy or he would have been hosed. That's the only computer I've had trouble with though.

SP3 gives XP about a 10% performance increase over SP2. I've distributed it across our entire network at work, over 400 computers, and I haven't had a single issue with it.

Without a question, install it.

what model computer are you using? if you were looking for a fresh clean install, i could make an XP install CD for you with SP3 and current drivers.
