Anyone Here in The Windshield Business?

    Hey everyone.
I recently purchased a secondhand Saab 9-5 (spare me the Saab jokes, I've heard'em all) that came standard with rain sensing windshield wipers. WhenI got the car, the sensor was not attached. According to the previous owner, he had tried to re-attach it with some sort of epoxy, but it fell off again shortly after.

So my question to the windshield techs is this: What sort of epoxy should I use to re-attach my rain sensor?

Not a windshield tech but I would find the type of epoxy that is used for attaching rearview mirror mounts.

Huh. This thread is the second result for a Google search of "reattach saab rain sensor". Here's the first. (No idea if it'll help you or not.)

Mine attaches to some blackened area, not directly to the glass. They do make a double sided tape for rear views, not sure it would be applicable to use around the edges of the sensor.

I'm not a windshield tech but Loctite 349 Impruv works well on glass: http://www.henkelna.com/adhesives/pr...=8797887037441

You need UV to cure it so do it on a sunny day.

    BUMP!
Finally got around to fixing it!

I gave the 3m weatherstrip adhesive a try and 24 hours later it's still on. Hopefully it'll stay...
