I almost, and I stress almost, touched a used one of these today when dealing with some people. Came within centimeters until my brain kicked in and said " you might not want to touch whats in that bag until you know what it is" thank god I didn't, because it wasn't "latex colored" any more. it was brownish looking dirty rubber kind of looking.

So far I've washed my hands 6 times, used sanitizer 4, and have done my best to keep from dry heaving at thought of almost touching one of these...

this is one of the days where my job isn't so good.

I don't get why anyone would want to use one of these.

I can't even imagine as a female, wearing that shit inside of me for 12 hours. That's just disgusting. I can't even stand pads because they make you feel filthy. Change that damn plug every few hours and you feel a bit cleaner at least.

There could be a few situations where something like this may come up.

If you have a reasonable suspicion that a person of interest has a weapon that poses a threat to you or others, you may be required to check their bag if you cannot tell if it does NOT contain a weapon from feeling the outside of it.

If you are processing someone who is under arrest, you may have to give another weapons check or check all of their possessions for inventory documentation.

I have never seen one in the KIT. Most come pre packaged. I have seen Rx's given for them or a morning after pill. But not a ring in the kit.
