    Question Worcester Area Restaurants

My fiance (whoa, weird to say) and I are
going out tonight and are not real familiar
    with the area yet.

Coming from Southern NH we love Michael Timothy's
    and Un-Wined in Manchester.

We're trying to find a place like that in the Worcester
area. Can anyone make some suggestions?

    Thank you

Vinny T's is pretty good, and there is some decent outdoor seating.

If you want an Italian place go to Shrewsbury st. end of story.

Mac's dinner is great for low cash great eats. Plus its BYOB

VIA if you want to blow some dough and get wop food.

Brazilian-Check out the place next to De'reco's market (I forget the name but its on the corner of Shrewsbury and E. central st.)

For a good brew and a pretty good american/pub food place go to Brew City

    Chinese check out Red Lantern

You have a plethora of good establishments on Shresbury st. just drive down it and take your pick.

Vinny T's is also good, but a bit to "chain restaurant" for me

Hmm, depends on what you're looking for. Romantic, steakhouse, Italian, etc...

Check out Dino's for a cozy atmosphere and good italian food: Dino's Restaurant, Worcester Mass

If you like seafood and don't mind spending some money, the Sole Proprietor is worth the visit: The Sole Proprietor

If you want Teppanyaki (think Japanese steak house), try the Sakura Tokyo: OurMenu

I've also been partial to Ciao Bella for informal occasions when I want italian food.

For really informal, Coney Island hotdogs are fantastic!

    Re: Worcester Area Restaurants

interesting thread...I'll be in Worcester awhile, so if anyone has any other good suggestions, throw them out...

    otherwise:
-another modest, cozy place is Elsa's Eatery, right next to Vinny T's on route 9
-I heard Holy Cannoli's is a pretty good bakery, but I'm not a huge fan of sweets or the Vernon Hill/Kelly Square area
-A cheap/well-known deli in the area is the Regatta Deli on Lake Ave (order the Regatta sub)
-unhealthy, late night food/chicken wings = Wings Over Worcester until 2AM
-and lastly, Flying Rhino on Shrewsbury street is sort of a funky but nicer place to get dinner.

off topic: has shrewsbury street become a posing site? I went to subway for dinner and saw a bunch of Harleys parked in front of Funky Murphys

seems like there have been more worcester area riders nowadays

anyone got some biker-friendly lunch spots, where you can see your bike where you eat, or hang around it while eating?

I was thinking diners or outdoor cafe style places would work...one gal at my school has a Yamaha scooter, so we're going to take luncheon 2-wheel rides

not in Worc but if you're up for a nice mellow ride, jam up Rt 31 to the center of Princeton and hit up our friends cafe the Mountainside Market. sandwiches are excellent, tables out front to chill by your bike.

in Worc, my wife finally took me to Armsby Abbey on North Main... highly recommended. cant wait to go back.

Another good Japanese place is Kyoto. Great place for a date because it is fun. The food and drinks are awesome too. It is right next to the Texas Stakehouse.

damn i was hoping to see someplace I HADN'T eaten at yet.

all good suggestions tho. . . but i personally HATE vinny t's. I really do NOT like the shaking of the wine bottles full of wood dice constantly while I'm trying to eat and have conversation. :twocents:

THE and I mean THE best food is in the Voke cafateria PERIOD Runnerup for a racers budget try getting PMS on Wednesday at Paul Macs. Either of these places expect to drop no more than ten including tip. Any tips left at Voke go towards a field trip.

Perhaps if you had posted this information when Bill had originally asked, he could have avoided the whole marriage thing altogether.
