Car is not perfect but it has been fairly good to me. Perfect for someone who wants to do a swap or whatever else one might do with this sort of car. I know what i can get for this by running it at the wholesale auction my brother in law runs/buys cars at so just asking a similar price to save me the trouble of driving it all the way down to CT just to drop it off. I'll take 4k for it with whatever parts i have lying around my house. If your interested, i also have a hitch i can toss in however it will not work with the 3" exhaust so either rigging or the stock exhaust is in order to be able to tow. Would also think about a pit bike plus cash.
The only bad is p0301 occasionally. It's not the head gasket or plugs. Probably just a coilpack. Car runs fine.

What's considered stage 2 on this? Just curious
Just turbo back exhaust, cat-less up pipe and a tune. Nothing over the top as this was my daily commuter

tempting... very tempting.. although i really should never own a fast car again
Not trying to cause a stir by any means, and I must say this appears to be fairly clean. However where did you learn that changing the oil on this particular car every 8k miles is OK? Especially with the dealer stating that these cars are known to "consume" upwards of a quart between oil changes.
Again not trying to bash this in anyway, just food for thought.
I've never had an issue with burning oil, my buddy with the same car but built motor runs the same synthetic and changes at the same intervals per his tuners instructions. I was told the same thing by my tuner at wicked innovations

We have oil analysis done on all our vehicles. We recently submitted a sample with nearly 11,000 miles on it and they said it was good for a couple of thousand more.
Subaru changed the recommended change interval on their turbo cars to 7,500 miles several years ago. I could go on but it's not officially winter for a few days and so we can really start an oil thread yet.....
That doesn't mean you shouldn't check the oil and fill as necessary: I'm sure if you have your foot in it a lot you are going to use some oil between changes.
The original car tests of the 02 WRX put 0-60 at 5.6 seconds. They're still faster than most cars on the road.

If someone wants to buy this car we can debate oil all we want afterward![]()
