I took this in partial trade when I sold my GS500. It needs work and it has no title. Cool little bike and wouldn't take much to get it going. Good project and first bike. Winter Special $300.00 firm.
needs Carb boots, carb clean, tank clean, front brakes bled/fluid changed and seat recovered.

a friend of mine scored one of these last year. he was able to order the carb boot from Yamaha as his had split.

Google "Vermont motorcycle registration" or some variation(s) thereof. Also search ADVRider.com, there is some interesting information there.

This is <300cc and >15 years old and should be easy to register. I think.

I registered an 86 Yamaha in Vermont and then used the registration to get a Massachusetts title a couple of years ago. Here's the website from which I learned about this "technique": http://benboyle.com/blog/?p=16

At the time, I also looked at several the title replacement services (I recall they were charging around $700.00). One I checked had copy of the Vermont registration form that you were supposed to fill out and send to them along with the money. What a sloppy scam.
