So, allow me start by saying that my sister is a moron.
She bought this beautiful pitbull puppy about a year ago. Female, mostly white with brown spots. She then gets booted out of her apartment and has to move in somewhere that does not allow dogs. She gives the dog to some people who turn out to be scumbags. The dog gets attacked by coyotes and hot by a plow truck on the same night. The new owners don't bother with anything silly like taking the dog to the vet, and so when my sister goes over to see her, she is knocking on death's door.
My sister takes the dog back, gets it to the vet, and - voila - finds herself homeless. But with a really cool dog.
She moves back in with my mother, which works out well for about 48 hours. They get in a fight, sister moves out, mother is now stuck with an ailing pitbull and two Lhasa Apsos. For those of you who don't know, Lhasa Apso is Burmese for "Pitbull Food".
My Mom needs to give this dog to a loving home. The dog is about a year old, female, named Bailey. She is banged up from her accidents, but is healing up well. She is a VERY SWEET dog - not aggressive at all with people, and maybe just a rough player with other dogs. Reasonably well trained with basic commands, but needs a little work with housebreaking, as she has the occasional "accident."
if anybody is interested (Sidewinder, I'm talking to you), let me know.
Trust me I'd love to take her I have 3 dogs already, and a female Pitbull aready If you know a thing or two about pitbulls you dont want to put 2 females together, that have not been brought up with each other.
The NH animal rescue league in bedford, NH is your best bet, last time I was in there they had half there stalls empty "which I think is a good sign".
You should do a temper test on that dog before you try and place it. Put food in a bowl let her eat, when she is eating start to friendly pat her on the back then after that try and take the food away from here.
If she shows any signs of aggression DO NOT try and place her. You could get sued up the a hole if that dog ever bit someone.
If she is aggressive give her to the rescue league they will try and work with her and place her in a good home.
Poor thing my pitbull went through the same thing got hit by a truck the owner dropped her off at the vets and never came back for her.
Bikeless
Thanks for the info, Sidewinder.
I will do the test you mention, but I'm 99% sure it wont be a problem at all - you could probably share a steak with this dog, and she'd lick you for keeping her company. She really is that sweet of a dog.
Jay, I will bug my mother for a pic.

beautiful dog.
good luck!
Waiting on a few details on the new place, if everything goes smooth and she's still around I'll likely take her.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
I like the bitches, and the bitches like me.

Damnit. She looks like she's had a rough life. Your sister is a moron.
How is she around other dogs? Dominant?

If you ever want to see a picture of my sister, grab a copy of Webster's Dictionary, and look under moron.
The dog loves other dogs, but does play rough, which is why my Mom is having a tough time with her little rat-dogs. She's afraid Bailey will hurt one of them while playing, by accident.![]()
you know you're too into motorcycling when you see 'free pitbull' and your first thought is - 'no shit? i need another stand!'![]()
