Been my daily driver for almost the past two years, it's treated me and my family very well, but I just parked a brand new GMC Acadia in the driveway. As much as I'd like to keep this as my camper/trackday toy it just won't work in our narrow driveway. Looked into storing it somewhere, but eh, what's the point...
The lowdown
- A tick under 94,000 miles, engine (5.7L V8) has been 100% trouble free and I wouldn't expect anything less for many miles to come.
- Most modern sportbikes will fit in the rear of the van after removing the bench seat. It's only 4 bolts and my RC51 would fit perfectly. With the bodywork on it would wedge itself nicely between the two middle row captain's chairs and two canyon dancers would secure it rock steady to the seat mounts.
- Interior of van is in good, almost great shape. All the lighting works perfectly, not a single bulb is out. All the pull-down blinds are in excellent shape and working without issue. No tears or rips anywhere, seats are quite comfortable too. Aftermarket Pioneer CD/Mp3 player with auxiliary input (minipin type), amp and nice Alpine box sub (that thing pushes a lot of air). I'm not sure about the other speakers in the car, they may be OEM, but the system sounds really good, I especially like the bass drum thump from any Black Keys album...Working TV and DVD player. The TV works off the van's power and the DVD works off an inverter, not totally seamless, but functional. There is a minipin jack on the back of the TV that feeds to a single speaker with it's own volume control, let's say it's finicky, needs some attention, but the volume off the TV works fine. Rear bench seat is essentially a futon, quickly folds down to a full size bed. Convenient plug under the driver's seat for accepting an exterior power source, good for watching TV without draining the battery. Only mentionable issue with the interior would be the floor upholstery, it has a good amount of stains on it. Kind of looks like the floor of a 16 year old van that's toted around a bunch of kids and motorcycles.
- Trailer hitch and wiring are all good.
- There are airbags on the rear suspension, proves to be really helpful when trailering, a bike is in the back, or you're chauffeuring 6 of your closest acquaintances.
- Replaced the starter this winter.
- Replaced the passenger side window motor this winter.
- Front and rear tires have probably 50% tread left, I may be being a little conservative there though. Van will also come with two snow tires on their own ugly rims, 75% tread left.
- Parking brake does not work.
- ABS light has been on since I purchased the car.
- Been experiencing a front end pulse/wobble, see here http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...-on-the-brakes After seeking a professional opinion I've improved the situation but it still isn't perfect.
- There is some rust turning to rot under the window on the back of the driver's side of the van. It doesn't leak a bit of water into the van and I wouldn't expect it to for some time.
- Needs an inspection sticker.
- Bill of Sale only.
