1997 GMC Sierra 4x4 5.7 V8

1997 GMC Sierra 4x4 with a 5.7L V8. 200k miles.

Drove this truck to Miami and back for the penguin track day and CCS (11/27/2018 - 12/3/2018). 2 miles from my house, on the way back, the transmission gave out. It had overheated.

Paid $600 for a fuel pump on the way down to Florida (in Richmond, VA to be precise). I was given a new transmission (supposedly rebuilt) by a mechanic friend but I do not know how to put it in. Truck runs very well, it is perfect for a farm truck or a mechanically inclined person who wants to spend a little time fixing all the little things to pass inspection (loose ground, horn, hi beam bulb, rockers - nothing major).

I have new truck coming, time for this one to go.
