Hey All,
So with my wife working in the city and me getting a new bike we have no need for a second car anymore. I bought this car last fall from a VW mechanic who got it from a customer who was going to trade it in but sold it to him instead.
Pros
-Newer tires (only 13k miles on them)
-New brake pad/rotors and complete check of the braking system by VW mechanic
-New All Season Matts (old ones were shredded)
-New gasket where the coolant line goes into the motor (was leaking and was replaced by VW Mehcanic).
-4 Wheel Alignment done recently.
-Car runs smoothly on the highway and around town
-27-30 MPG
-No major body rust or dents
-New Upper front suspension bushings (again done by vw mechanic)
-This car runs great on the highway (over 13k miles since I got it).
-Interior is free of any major rips or tears.
-Paint and body has scratches
-Needs a radiator (has a slow leak). No it is not burning coolant it, you can see where it leaks at the joint between the fins and the plastic sides.
-199,000 miles as it sits now. It was used as a commuter car for a business but had only one driver for 10 years.
-Rear trailing arm bushings should be replaced.
- The rear window washer has been replaced.
Over all this car has been great but I also own a 2007 Jetta that I am driving and basically own (only a few more payments) so this one has to go.
