Not being a dick or shitting on your thread but interest on your bike will be low as the price is seemingly high for the market on an SV of that age. Most SV's around that year even with the added goodies you may have will sell in the 2500-2800 range all day long. Just more of an FYI from an SV guy.

Agreed. I didn't want to shit on this thread when you first posted. The year and miles for an seemingly ordinary bike does not justify your price. I'd even say low $2000s seems to be the right price.

If you strip off the carbon fiber stuff and sell on the side and install the stock stuff you will get more for your money that way.

Recently sold my 2001 SV for way less than that. Bike was completely stock, adult (50+) owned since new, dealer serviced (with service records) and had a givi screen and Sargent seat.
Dealers offered ~1000 and eventually go a little more after months listed on Craigslist.

Thanks for all the good comments!! No problem. You know that old saying, 'it's easy to come down, difficult to go up'! I am always open to offers. This is not a fire-sale, just trying to find a good home for it. You could count on one hand the days this has been outside in the rain. No disrespect to you guys/gals, but this is no ordinary bike. Not a scratch anywhere. You SV guys know you cannot duplicate this bike for $2K!! A lot of the Carbon stuff like headlight brackets and heal guards were Suzuki NOS. You can't find them anymore. Rear seat cowl is custom made/removable. Good luck buying that Yoshi. I understand the dealer quote. I sell Toyota's. Don't get mad at me when I appraise your car for wholesale! LOL. This bike is TURNKEY for the person looking for a really great bike, cheap. New parts everywhere. This is not the ratbike you may want to turn into a tracker. You all know what a pisser these are to ride. My son on his Gixxer would leave me on the straights, but I would keep up in all the twisties. These are great bikes for novice or expert. And oh boy, LOVE the sound of a V-twin! But, you guys know this. Maybe pass this along to someone you are trying to convince to get a 'real' bike! LOL.
The bike was safety wired for track days. I was raised with a Hot Rod upbringing so am kind of anal about that stuff.

Have a friend looking for her first bike, and looking at several other SV's around (some good, some beat, some with parts, some without), and the market for first gens tops out under $3k. All the power to you if you're able to get more, but if you're in the $2500 range, shoot me a PM and I'll try and convince her to stretch the budget a bit.

Exactly! Why buy someone's junk or fixer upper? This bike needs n o t h i n g!! Always gets great comments wherever it goes. Fresh tune up, new fluids, etc, etc. I would sell for $3K to someone from NESR. Maybe include stand & cover & lock too. By the way, the photos are last year @ Lowell Bike night. I will try to get some new shots showing some of the newer stuff this season like blue/silicone hoses, vortex gas cap, blue pro-tek brake cover, folding mirrors and radiator cap that went on days ago. Also have brandy new LED, carbon fiber front signals still in wrapper I can throw in. I could probably text some shots if someone wants them right away.

Sorry to be another downer, but the miles are also quite high. This would scare off most noobs who only see bikes that are never ridden and have like 5k miles. Experienced riders arent affraid of a bike with a few miles on it, but want to pay below the going rate for a bike that is going to be harder to resell and considered lower valued.
