This is my wife's car. Around 80K on the dial. Last year it was hit by a flying shopping cart (long story, that one) and backed into in a parking garage. As a result, most of the body is brand new (none of the damage required mechanical work). Not a speck of rust or dents (that I know of). I know she recently had the brakes done, and two new tires put on. It's a really solid car, but it's time for a new one. KBB "good" condition private sale is $8773 so that's the asking price. I'll take some pics and get details if there is any interest. If not, we'll just trade her in.

BTW - if anyone has experience with a Lexus IS 350 or the Kia Stinger GT I'd be interested to hear impressions.
The Lexus drove nice (did that one before all this craziness) but it's damn expensive. I haven't driven the Stinger but it has gotten pretty good reviews.
I did a brief stint in KIA service dept. I'm not impressed with the brand. If you have low expectations there is short term value for the money but they don't age well. Once the new toy feeling goes away it's like they're a different car. IMO anyway.

Ah, good to know. Thanks.
They've come a long way from where they were for sure, they do pump up millions of cars after all. They're a great option for a lot of people, but if you're used to Yotas there may be a letdown. There is no comparison.
I like my 2011 Toyota with 93k on better them the 2017 KIA I have with 14k for example. The Yota rides, stops and handles better despite being beat on. I need to get rid of one of them shortly. The newer KIA is probably the one getting the ax.
This March was my last full month working there and there's a slight chance I go back.

“Feeler” ads never struck me as effective. “I’m not really interested in selling this, but if you want to change my mind.”
We look up the trade in price and dealer retail, split the difference and offer it for sale. We print out the NADA, KBB, and Edmonds prices and show them to prospective sellers so they inderstand how we arrived at the asking price.
Sometimes there is surprising demand, sometimes none. What we expected to be the most difficult-to-sell vehicle ever (a first gen Transit Connect cargo van with 150K) sold in one hour. The vehicle we expected to be easiest to sell - a V6 Honda Accord - never did sell and we sold it to our garage mechanic at a huge discount. Weird. An offer turned down for my WRX was $2,000 better than the next.
One would think a solid used one owner AWD luxury sedan attractively priced would sell in a heart beat, while netting the owner a couple grand more than trade in. Women of a certain age love that shit. GLWS.

As you probably know the 350 is much spiritier driving than the 250, probably because it has like 100hp more. I drove both but because this was supposed to be my son's first car I looked for the 250.
Good luck with what ever you do. I think I would look more at a newer Camry 6cyl over the Stinger. And as a complete derail, used Teslas aren't too bad either.

Interested. We handed Big Shirl's CTS-4 down to Tovah a few years ago and it's up near 200K now. It's starting to show it's wear and we're seriously considering replacing it soon. The repairs are getting to the point that it's not worth it any longer.
Look into it, post some pics & nail down a price.

Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
PM sent. I may be heading to NH shortly to pick up a table top - could show it to you then. I do have all the service records and will post up some pics asap.

Dayumn! Those aren't very good on gas, huh? I would've expected better.

I avg about 24.5-25 with mine. I suspect they are pretty heavy, definitely not a Corolla.

Smack dab in the middle of "good" condition, KBB has it at $8773 so let's go with that. I'll take and post some pics tonight.

I typed up a responce and it fucking vanished.
So anyway. I went car shopping with my girlfriend last fall, and she bought a new IS 350 f-sport. She's got abour 8k on it and so far she loves it. It drinks 93, and seems to get right around 25 MPG. It goes great in the snow, which is surprising because the tires don't really show any evidence of having tread. I'm fairly full sized, and the car isn't. It's not uncomfortable, but it's cozy. And the center console is a bit wee. I like to put shit there. But anyway, it feels like a Lexus should, and will probably run for a million miles.
We also looked at a fancy used Stinger, which did not look like it was holding up well. The salesman told us they were shit, and to avoid. Too bad, cool looking car.
I was impressed with the 350, and it wasn't even the f type. My wife doesn't want or need the performance or tech of the high end models (and there's a corvette in my future!). Her 250 looks new and I suspect will run forever, it's just that there are deals out there if you're willing to dig, and it's not like I have anything else to do. I'm a little surprised by the real life observations of the Stinger - the reviews are pretty solid.
I'll know what direction we're going by the weekend.
