Not mine, but my retentive neighbor down the street has it for sale in front of his house. I thought someone here may be interested. I walked around the bike and it is cherry mint condition. The close up of the for sale sign pic I took is blurred so if anyone is interested let me know and I'll go down the street and get his number. I think the sign noted $6,200 or $6,400.

Well, if he wants to sell it... I thought it might be worth being informed of reasonable values. This is the closest I could find to one with such low miles, but just about any stock-ish 748 I've seen can't break the $5k barrier, regardless of mint factor. Maybe he'd appreciate a friendly "hey, just so you know..." from his neighbor?
FWIW, I would be very interested if it had an 853cc kit.![]()
This might be the bike:

http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail...ati/748/67139/
The "Special" adds some value, but both are below $5k for KBB Retail, indicative of what you'd pay at a dealer.
I absolutely do love it though, unfortunately low miles are actually a concern for someone if they want to ride it, as MY2000 + 748 = flaking rocker concern.
If the ebay bike is his, it's about as desirable as one of these gets... anything over $5k is attributable to the condition and add-ons adding some residual value but he's about a grand high if he wants it to move. If his wife is making him 'try to sell it' then it's priced very appropriately![]()
I would say that IS it, since the mileage is 4521 in the photos.
Very nice looking bike. Just an FYI on value, I ran the bike on both KBB and NADA. Here is KBB:
And NADA (left column is ow retail, right iv average):
Even the higher prices 748R didn't come close. That was at just over $5k on both KBB and NADA.
Yep, par. Nice looking, and I think the 748 monopostos came with aluminum sub-frames, correct?
Friend: man riding this really hurts my balls
Me: Well you're not supposed to sit on your balls!
