    2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1000 obo

    V6 5speed manual..

    Has a BAD transmission!!!!!

    No clue of the problem car runs.. Wont move in an gear.

    Runs good... Just spent no lie $2000 in maintenance in the last 6 months... New clutch, o2 sensors, oem exhaust work, etc...


    Was driving on highway... Car started to slow down... Clutch started to slip... You can not push the car... It goes into every gear.. Just doesnt move.. Clutch just slips...


    I don't know the mileage since I would need to jump it to check it...


    The interior is in decent condition... The dash top is cracked from the sun?...


    The exterior is decent also... The front bumper cover was replaced from a minor fender bender... It is black like the car.

    I'll bet dimes to dollars, whoever did the clutch job screwed up the re-assembly.

    Did it lock up while you were driving it or did you park it and then later you couldn't move it?

    yeah, did you check to see if they put any transmission fluid back in?

    I think you're right and the trans is fried.
    I am thinking they forgot to refill the transmission fluid when they put it back together.

    Just an armchair guess without seeing it.

    Its a manual so no tranny fluid just gear oil. Still that could be tge problem ruinned gears.

    same, manual transmission fluid, I believe mine took 3 liters.

    btw, I just replaced the clutch on my 2000 Eclipse GT 5 spd about a month ago. So I'm just trying to remember what might have caused the problem experienced here.
