I hate to do it, but it's time for me to part with the trusty Sprint. Details:
2000 Triumph Sprint RS 955 in Lucifer Orange. Has 45,259 miles. I put on 32,000 of those miles. Well maintained and ready to ride. Seriously.
The bike looks good from 15 feet away, but a closer look will reveal wear and tear. Both sides of the front fairing are scratched from dumbass tipovers (one mine) and there is a blemish at the tip of the nose. I have a factory color paint pen, if you are inclined to make it look better. No cracks. The right front turn signal stalk is broken but has a temp fix.
-Tires have 5,500 miles on them. I have another set that have about 5k on them.
-Valve clearances done at 13k and again at 30k
-Rear brake pads have 6k on them. Fronts have plenty of meat left.
-Rear shock has about 20k on it.
-Front forks have RaceTech emulators.
-Chain and sprockets are in good shape.
-The reach on these bikes is long, so I added GenMar risers, ST bars (have the stock ones) and another 1/4" bar riser. It's perfect for my 5' 9" frame.
- Comes with a SW-MOTECH rear rack. Twisted Throttle sells adapter plates to fit all types of boxes to the rack.
- Haynes Manual
- Valve clearance shims and tool
It's about time for an oil change (I use Rotella Synthetic every 3k) and a brake fluid change, but that's about it.
This generation Triumph is overbuilt and runs like a freight train. Lots of usable power all over the rev range. It has a low seat height, handles great and is fun to ride. Considering the cosmetic blemishes and mileage, I think $1,900 is a very fair price. More photos on request.![]()

The Sprint RS is one of my all-time favorites, good luck. I've been needing to put mine on the market to make room but am having trouble parting with it.

Wow, nice, and *more* than fair on the price, I'd say.
Please, someone, buy this before I listen to myself saying, "Gee, I always wanted one of those ... ."
And don't believe everything you think.
Bumpity bump bump. Awesome sporty tourer for really short money. A bike you don't see around.
