I'm building an Endurance Cafe Racer for an event in the Spring and I've started with a 74 Honda CB 200.
I guess I'm looking to see what people have lying around in the back shed for the CB200. Right now as of today wgat I'm looing for for sure is the left hand control [horn and indicators]. Any old Honda 7/8ths diameter bar control will most likely do....
I'll post as needed while constructing. Here is what the deconstruction looks like today..

We have a 70's XS400 yamha out back runs(with love) needs little stuff.
you can have it.
Also why do you need a horn and stuff on a racebike?

whoa.. dibs if nixoid doesn't want it!
is it just an issue with the title or VIN?
I'll certainly take it but it won't be to this end [I think... the front end may be of value to me or just as a plinker....
BUt why the horn and signals..... Page Title one crazy crazy race. 660 miles one day 2 countries, 4 states 200cc's or less.
try this. i know Bob's in AZ was HUUUGE! lots of old stuff too.

Thats kewl! I just picked up a really nice 75 CB200T for the wife to learn on the for me to "Cafe" later. I even got a glass cafe seat & tail , and a set of clubmans with it.
However might someone have a wiring schematic for this bike that I could buy a copy of?
Sorry to hijack your thread ! I have a possible line on atleat 1 if not 2 Cb200's "parts bikes" If they do surface I will keep you posted!!
Thanks
Here is a pic of the new bike.
i'll take a look when i get home, i may have the wiring diagram (possibly)

I have a right hand control , but it does have turn signal control , start button , and kill switch! Must be European or ?? Its brand new , I also have a CB200 maybe we can do some trading!
I am looking for a grab bar and possibly a rear fender , I really need them to have good chrome. I also may be going to a MC salvage shop soon I will see what I can find!
So you say these bikes top out at 70 MPH or so? (thinking about the interstate commute....)
I have a few CB parts , how about a set of open twin headers/ pipes. Very LOUD! My CB is undergoing the Cafe transformation. I'll get a pic up here in a day or 2. Going to be running CL high headers mated to a oval supertrapp style muffler , solo seat , clubmans , 1/4 fairing , rearsets.
70 is about max for a stock CB200. I have had mine with the open pipes and stock air boxes to 80! By the way its just as fast in 4th gear as it is in 5th , maybe faster. It loves to be run over 7000 rpm!
Is it very buzzy? I haven't been on a vertical twin since my CL360 days!
And the beemer airhead...well...that doesn't count as a typical twin, now does it?![]()
Here is a link to the pictures of my CB200T. You can see the "open" pipes in the outside pics.

I am going to look at a '73 CB200, possibly.
It has a broken (and missing) shift lever...
Looking at this site, I don't see a lever on the fiche.

Is there a better place to look at parts for these?
I am a newbie when it comes to vintage Japanese stuff.
TIA
bikebandit has a good oem parts finder. Then call your LOCAL dealer and order from him.
Check the bike salvage yards. should be an easy find. Just measure dia. and count the spline.
Thanks, Gr8lite. It's a whole different world outside airhead-land!![]()
The seller calls this an "easy fix".
"[Needs] New Gear shift - broke off, easy fix."
I think it looks more like a new transmission shift-shaft, to me.
How about you?
I'm not really a transmission kind of guy. I might let this one pass.
