So, one of my best friends of all time is ready to pull the trigger on a new (or extremely close to new) BMW R1200GS. He's looking for all the options, but NOT the Adventure model. Regular suspension, regular seat (this is reiterated from his email, so I have to admit to not knowing much at all about the differences between models).
He's got one in NYC that he's looking at now, but I figured I should throw a flag up here to see if anyone has an actual bike or a REALLY SOLID lead on one. I know it's a bit of a long-shot. Please no "have you tried GBM?" replies.
Thanks. I love you all.
Mike, I do not have a connection but have heard very good things about Second Wind BMW in Merrimack, NH.
I believe Johnny on here bought his 675 Triumph from them.
Just my 2 cents
I sent Mike a longwinded pm on second wind as well, good experience there and when I got mine they were cheaper than Max's.

Two things help getting older - BMW'S and Metamucil
Plus 1 for Second Wind. My experience with them has been very positive. Tell him to go see Nick in Sales. Nick is a straight shooter.
Yes second wind is very very good. Awesome service, great knowledge about the products, and an awesome team.
Not sure how long ago everyone here bought, but since then Nic Blaney has moved onto being the sales manager - which is actually a good thing I do believe.
That looks like Max's in NY, are we not gonna get any more info than this?![]()
Tell him to join up and post up then :p
You can't even tell us where he got it? it's that secret? you are running some black ops my friend![]()
Just saw a 1150 r for sale on the Ocean State BMW Club site. http://www.oceanstatebmwriders.com/ check the for sale section
Thx Mike...in NYC it could be a few IIRC, Max's is in Troy.
Bill you should schedule a test drive...for reals.
I was at the BMW dealer a few weeks ago in North Hampton. They had some really nice bikes in there! Congrats to your bro who just picked up a new scoot!
If all else fails, Lean more....
