As much as I never thought I would do this, I think it’s time to sell the ‘Beemer’… I have almost zero interest in street riding anymore. After 8 track days and 2 Penguin days this year, I’m officially hooked on track riding. (At least 2 more to go also..) Also, I’m thinking that very soon I MAY try my hand at racing…
As such, I’m going to sell the K 1200R, and probably the F4i and get a bike completely dedicated to the track.
So here goes:
2006 BMW K1200R with 15,000 mile is up for sale. I am learning that 15K is absolutely nothing for a BMW. This bike runs smoother at 15K than several of my friends bikes with ˝ the mileage. The bike is in excellent condition. I have put only about 600 miles or so on this bike this year. Unfortunately, it’s just sitting here in my garage waiting to be ridden.
I have had one minor “low side” on the bike 2 years ago on Rte. 17. There was minor damage to the bike and I had everything repaired within 2 weeks.(nothing but a few scuffs and a broken head lamp)
The bike is pretty much stock with a few small “add ons”
1: Akrapovic slip on exhaust
2: TechSpec Gripster Tank Grips
3: R & G Racing Shaft Protector, Fork Sliders & Frame Sliders
When I ordered this bike, I also ordered all options available at the time.
1: Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) – This does away with manual suspension tuning and allows users to adjust the suspension while riding. At the touch of a button, you are able to choose between three settings (Normal, Comfort and Sport) for front and rear suspension. The damper settings – rebound at the front, rebound and compression at the rear – are then adjusted automatically.
2: Integrated ABS.
3: Heated Hand-Grips
Average retail for this bike is currently $11,755. I have the title in hand and would like to get $11K or so…
Also for sale is my current track bike. I have an ’02 CBR 600 F4i with approximately 14K miles on it. This bike has been run exclusively on the track for the past 2 seasons. This bike includes a Yoshimura slip on exhaust, and Woodcraft frame sliders. Bike is essentially stock and I have all lights and blinkers that are needed to make this bike street legal again.
Average retail for this bike according to KBB is $4,425. I have the title in hand for this bike also and my starting price for this bike is $4k…
