Hey all.....I'm getting a new bike. I had planned on trading in the 848 but what the heck, let's see if anyone wants this...
2012 Ducati 848 Corse SE with 3100 miles. I bought it new. It's got the Termi slip on kit (mufflers, ECU and air filter) and a Ducati Performance carbon hugger. Pretty flawless bike, new Pirelli tires at about the 2200 miles mark, it had 5 to 7 trackdays on it. It's never been down or tipped over or scratched....I promise I never even fared on the seat.
I have a clean and lien free mass title in my name.
I originally paid $16k plus all taxes and stuff...I figure it's worth $12k as that's about what I will get from the dealer on trade in....
So, if you want it let me know. Not interested in price discussions it's a perfect bike. Some of you guys know this machine and can attest to its condition.
Have a good day!
Some more pics in my gallery...
What makes the Corse different??? Graphics, 330mm front rotors over the standard 848's 320mm, Ohlins rear shock, traction control (8 levels plus off) and factory quickshifter.

whats the new bike???
I've seen this bike. It's incredibly sexeh..
John, no point selling private party for the same price you will get on a trade-in; you will end up losing money this way on the sales tax difference. i.e., trading in on your new bike for the same price ($12k) will save you 6.5% on $12k, as opposed to selling it here for $12k and paying the sales tax on your entire new bike value.
Dan, have you test driven the 899 yet? I'm interested in getting an opinion from someone who also rides and 848 on the street.

John's bikes are nothing short of immaculate. Very well maintained mechanically and visually.
I have ridden the 848 and loved it's torque, but not the riding position so much. I am not a big guy - I think helibars would fix that for me. I have not ridden the 899 which felt considerably smaller and more comfortable. I hear the engine is more peaky which I would not like...
Are you going through a divorce and must liquidate? That's the only reason why I see you selling. Unless you just get tired of your bikes and have to move on. I suggest you talk to schleppy about borrowing someone's bike before buying.
Looks like somebody's sig grew a line ^^.

OK, Im going from this 2012 Ducati 848 Corse to a used 2010 Ducati 1198 Corse...
Pretty much the same bike, more better'er Ohlins forks, lightweight forged wheels, aluminum tank, and about 40 more hp!
Nice bike but damn I bet your wife wont even notice it is different. Shame on Ducati for not differentiating the look some what based on the price bump for that 1198 model.
I hope she dosent notice....nudge nudge, wink wink...
