Title?
No actual paper title is issued in RI on vehicles earlier than 2000.
I have the certificate the state issues in lieu of above, called "Title Legal Letter" I think.
Bears VIN, official state stamp and all that.
Bike is currently registered and no liens, unpaid taxes, etc. to worry about.
So, Yes everything is clear and legit - should pose no difficulty with registration in any state.

I have a 1995 version of this bike which I picked up for significantly less, but in much much worse condition. These bikes are considered superb off/on road bikes. They are light (about 300 lbs wet weight) since they are air cooled. No radiator or other things to break. 350 cc is just enough to be ridden on the highway if needed. The 1998/99 models are the best with the fully adjustable suspension (off road only prior to 1998) . Many people on ADVrider think this is a better model than the replacement 400cc (also 6 speed vs 5 speed) and the perfect compromise for a true dual purpose bike. Who ever picks it up will never want to sell it! Seat height is very manageable as well.
Good luck with the sale. If I didn't pick up my beat up one 6 months ago I would buy yours. It looks to be in excellent condition. If you don't sell here, one ad on ADVrider and it will be gone.
