    Yamaha 4Zinger

Just tossing a feeler out. It's a mid-80's Yamaha 4Zinger 4-wheeler. I believe it's a 60cc jobbie, has a CVT tranny (fully auto), 2 wheel drive. I got it as a running basket-case and it's still in a FEW pieces. The body & controls still need to be reinstalled, but everything else is there. It'll literally take MAYBE a coupla hours to get it up & running. The engine's in one piece, the carb is together, all the tanks are on. It'll need a new plug and the oil injector tank will need flushing as well as the tranny oil & differential fluids. These look more like little mini trucks than today's stylized 4-wheelers and it'd make a GREAT pit-scoot...

Now here's the deal: this was GIVEN to me. To prove what a helluva guy I am, I'm thinking I'd pay it forward to maybe a racer that's really struggling financially paying for the whole 'racing thang', and they MUST be an active member of NESR. The only stipulation is that the recipient either pay it forward when they're done OR *I* get first right-of-refusal when it comes time to pass it on...

Very cool! Not having a pit bike sucks. Don't realize how convenient it is until you don't have one.

I'd be very interested if this thing is small enough for a kid to ride around. My son is big for his age (he's 4'8" and 6yo) and has never really been able to do the power wheels thing too much and I've been looking for something for him to run around on now.
I understand this isn't the racer thing you wanted to do, but please keep me in mind if it fits with the kid thing.
    thank you

Holy schmoly! That's one tall fookin' 6-year old! DAYUMN! He may be too big for it, really...

Paying it forward to that type of situation isn't outta the question at all. I'm just trying to avoid the type of person that's amassed a garage full of road bikes, a handful of dirty bikes/quads, a coupla race bikes and has a brand new Lexus in his driveway, all the while enjoying their 4500 sq. ft. home and mowing their lawn on their $8000 tractor. Trying to get it to someone that would otherwise NEVER be able to grab something like this...

If you fit that bill, I'll definitely keep you in mind...

    Re: Yamaha 4Zinger

yeah, we bought him a lightning Mcqueen a couple of years ago and by the end of the first summer, he was sitting on the rear deck of the car and driving it, he couldn't really fit in it anymore.
I understand what you are saying. Honestly, I could buy him something used, just trying to save the money on something he'll outgrow shortly. If it's free, it doesn't hurt to give it away in the end.
my description is more like one bike, one car garage, small cape, husqvarna mower, definitely no glorified toyota. Let me know if you don't find someone who wants it. I understand your plight.

I had no idea our "parent of 3-6yo kid" to "broke racer" ratio was what it appears to be!

^ Is a terrible attempt at quoting. Anyway, nothing wrong with it, I love seeing little ones on these toys when they're still young. More riders is a good thing in my book. I'm just surprised a bunch of broke racers didn't jump faster pleading their case. Pit bikes really are key up there, learned last weekend and will get a refresher this weekend. Hopefully for weekend 3 I'll be all set again though.

Now, now, children. Let's not make my generous offer generic by bantering about it. Let's just say I'd like it to go to someone that may otherwise not be able to afford it. Like I said previous, I'm just trying to avoid someone grabbin' it up who would certainly have other means to actually PAY for one...

And again, when it comes time to pass it on, you either pay it forward or give it back. I also don't wanna see someone get a freebie, then make a few bucks off it down the road...

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
