Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
If that big hit was a large frame I'd be all over it. That was one of the bikes I first looked at when I bought my enduro comp. Still kinda want one just for fun and that seems like a decent price. Good luck with the sale/trade.
well, since Im 6'5" 250, sounds like I wouldnt want the medium frame :/
Bump. $450 firm.
jeeeesus thats a good deal
Okay, I've been wanting to get a really nice mid-priced mountain bike for a while now. I'm curious how that'd fit me. How tall are you?

what year is the Big Hit? I live close to Highland and wouldn't mind a more DH oriented bike... what does it need?

Its a 2003, it only needs a front rotor because I just warped it, however it should be in within the next day or two so it will be installed/included with the sale. Besides that, I ride the bike regularly through LynnWoods.

Jay,
You can never get too nice! As long as you're within your budget, the bike fits you physically and fits the needs for where you will be riding go for it.
That being said, this bike is definitely more of a downhill/rough terrain bike. If you plan on riding it on a lot of all mountain/cross country/rail trail/paved road type stuff then there is likely a better bike out there for you.
I really wish I wasn't so damn tall sometimes, because I would snag this thing in a heartbeat. Great bike for what is intended for and a great price.
OP, good luck with the sale! If you can make the frame a large I'll take it. Hmmm doesn't specialized have a lifetime frame warranty..................Maybe they would be generous enough to change sizes if something were to say crack on the frame. Highly unlikely, oh well just dreaming again.

Jay;
This bike is more for downhill riding.. It is not very uphill pedal friendly. It is more geared towards riding a lift up and bombing down. If you wanted to do some trail riding with a lot pedaling, its not for you. The suspsenion eats a lot of the pedaling action. If you wanted to get into bombing down over at Highland in Northfield this is your machine.

Thanks for the good words guys. Everyone is right, it is more work during xc riding. However, it does have an adjustable rear end. It can change the rear travel from 8.1" to 6.8" and adjust the head tube angle to so that the front end doesn't have as much bob to it. These features definitely help minimize the amount of extra effort it takes while xc. I have state funded set of mountain bike trails right near my house. I'm willing to let anyone interested to take it out for a ride there.
