If anyone's interested in these, PM me. I have a friend in the business (literally) who needs to move some this month (Boston Area / South).
I think they've hit about $8K at this point.
The oil use thing is BS, a function of not using the oil grade the manual requires.
As many of you know, these are Great bikes and unbelievable prices, Honda's overproduction is our gain.

Since you're not selling a particular bike yourself in this thread, they should have hit about 6,721$ unless they are actually appreciating in storage.
But since this is a thread about 1000rr's, this place has some good deals on them too:

They've been 7k since last summer![]()
Guy's. There's NOTHING in this for me. I was asked to spread the word for a friend and that's all I'm doing.
If you're interested, PM me, If you're not, please move on.
my works still selling em for 8 I believe. gonna have to let somebody know.

The oil thing is not bs. I had a 08 that burned excessive amounts of oil and I did everything by the book.
we're just bumping the thread for you - because no one in their right mind is driving to Tennessee.
From what I have seen, 8k offering price is still a decent starting point.. When I was looking for mine (last August/Sept) dealers were interested in giving me a grand off MSRP

for what it's worth... If you can still find one of these locally, Honda just introduced .99% financing on 2008 CBR1000s.

good luck finding one locally....and as far as the oil burning....this topic has been beaten to a pulp at the 1000rr.net and cbr forums.....verdict? the problem does exist...but only to a small number of units.....solutions vary, but basically the culprit is the piston rings. My advice for peace of mind is to purchase the honda care extended warranty, you can buy a hondacare 48month extended warranty for usd 660.00 over the net, no mileage limit, no deductible, transferrable (no cost).....you dont even have to purchase this right away....as long as you purchase this within your new-vehicle warranty is still in effect.

They are available locally, that's why I started this thread.
The financing is 0.99% for 36 months.
If you're thinking about this, I'll put you in contact with a no bs dealer who wants to move them.
My only problem is that I really have to wait until after March 26th to do anything, and even then I have to look at my whole financial picture. Would it be a problem to wait that long?
The financing runs through 3/31, I believe, and I know my buddy will work with you. If you really want to get an idea of OTD cost and how it might look as a loan payment, PM me, I guarantee, you will not walk into a "car dealer nightmare" by inquiring.
