Looking for an inexpensive street bike that can easily do 2 up reasonably comfortably and has a pretty standard or sport touring riding position. Thinking FJR, FZ, k1200, Bonnie…could be a variety of things. Prefer something with bags for commuting.
Looking for inexpensive, but not a POS. Budget of 2500-3500 ish.
Should have jumped on that multi before Duncan got it!

See if anyone is selling a Tiger 1050. Triumph discontinued them here so they sell for peanuts. Some have ABS.

Thinking about replacing my 2010 Street Triple with a new Triple RS. Let me know if you are interested.
How 'bout a Concours? Think I've been seeing a few on Marketplace at reasonable prices.
F'rinstance, a 2001 with 34K miles at $3200, and a 1995 with 36K miles at $3150
Or CL, eg, at the low end,

Or a Yam FZ1 -- those come up at reasonable prices sometimes -- not as good for two-up, though, I'd guess. I had a 2007 FZ6 (from NESR) that was a great bike I shoulda kept -- these hold their value it seems, going for the same or more as the Concours(s).
As to the Multi, "You snooze, you lose."

Nice looking FJR for sale. Not sure what they are asking for a price, maybe worth a phone call.

$300 for a Givi topcase and rack and you’re well under budget.

What do you all think of the mileage in this one? Too high?

Me personally, it wouldn't bother me. I'd look at it, hear it, ask about the history. I bought a bike from Nault's Windham about 10 years ago, have stopped in many times since. If you call or go, see if the salesman named Cliff is there, be sure to talk to him -- straight shooter IME.
HTH,

No. Those motors are rep'ed to go just about forever.
They added electronic cruise control, 2014+ I think. When I was looking at them I had convinced myself I *needed* that.
Also the earlier models were 5-speed. I think it was 2016 when they went to a 6-speed.
Hopefully the valves have been checked/adjusted over that time. If it has records, it's probably a good option. Great bike, I had one for a while. Great 2 up, though stock, the fork springs are so weak, they or out of spec for sag without rider. I put a Penske shock and stiffer fork springs on mine. Electric windshield is great. You can ride in the rain and stay dry.
Yeah...for that price I think I will have to check it out. Even if i ride it for a few years and then sell it for half I'd be ok with that
Just saw this -- pics look very good -- IDK much about Beemers or if that is a good price for that model --
1995 BMW R 1100 RT
Low miles for a Beemer
25K miles
Runs great
New brakes, battery
Handles super tight
Retractable windshield
Detachable hard bags
Very clean
3800

I love the RT. The 1100 is one of the highlights in my mind. Later 1200's of some eras seem less reliable to me; too much electronics, not enough motorcycle. I have a friend that has poured 10's of thousands of fairly trouble free miles into an 1100 RT. Transmissions are a bit clunky. Generally a somewhat unrefined, "agricultural" feel. But they go good and were still "just a motorcycle" in that era.
I think parts availability might be starting to be a thing for those.
bags on the 150. done.![]()
Beta 200RR
there is actually a r1100s I am looking at too that looks like it could fit the bill
A bit over your budget, but only 10k miles and new tires:

A little less orthodox but these are a blast and cheap

what about a VFR? I see them pop up in your range. Great bikes.
You could also go full bagger and pick up an old wing or Venture cheap, probably well under your budget. There is a growing trend to make them into adv or cafe bikes so you can mix it up if you wanted too.
I sold my 07 vfr800 with 15k on it with luggage for like 3800 2 years ago. def should have kept that one after my kid was born
