Just tossing it out there to get a feel!
I'm not going to stop dirtbiking, I just want something different and more useful. The possible trades would be for a KTM 4-stroke, 350cc or bigger of equal value and equal condition. Models I'm thinking, 350 EXC/XCWf, 450 EXC/XCWf, 500 exc/xcwf, or 530 EXC/XCWf
Street title or clean KTM MSO is a MUST as I plan to register and use it part time as a Supermoto.
My bike, I bought it new in early winter of 2011, very well cared for all it's life. The bike has around 60 hours on it, the engine is strong and has never been apart. The only add on's I installed are Sycra pro bend hand guards, Engine slid plate, carbon pipe guard, and I put a light kit on it..headlight, tail light and brake light+switch...all OEM KTM parts.
The bike is in very good condition and very clean. It does have some scratches and scuffs from normal use, but it is again, a dirtbike.
The bike has a clean and clear Rhode Island street title in my name...no BS or waiting for the title, it's here with me!
No need posting older pictures, I'll get some new pics of it as it sits now and post them up tomorrow.
$4,500 for the bike, but I'd rather make a trade

Bump!

Bump! As mentioned, I'd still rather trade for a 4-stroke KTM of equal value and condition. Open to offers for a sale as well
Yamaha
Bump! Was going to keep it, but I simply don't ride, don't have the desire to ride, and sick of seeing it sit.
Little over 70 hours on it, not much has changed and it's still in the same condition it was last year.
The only trade I'm interested in at the moment, is $4,500 in cash. Remember the street title, I have that in hand!
For another $500.00 (that would be $5k for those math challenged) I'll toss in a full supermoto kit for it

Mark, there is someone on NEDB looking for a 200. Figured I'd mention it in case you hadn't seen it.

I'm somewhat interested, maybe. It would require me selling my kx250f but I'm debating if I should turn that I to a woods bike or get a more woods oriented bike. So you say you want something more "useful" what exactly wasn't useful about this bike? What did you like and not like? I really don't know much about the 200, it may be the wrong bike for me, I'm not sure. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather.
Corey
why sell?!?
this bike is one of the best woods bikes out there!!
just so you can do better street duty with a 4t supermoto?

Thanks Joel, I haven't been on NEDB in a while, I'll check it out.
At the time, more useful to me was to be able to ride it more than just as a woods bike, looking for a bike I could ride trails, then slap on the SM wheels and ride some backroads..or even a couple trackdays. There is nothing I don't like about the bike for a woods bike, it seems perfect in every way. You're welcomed to try it and see if you like it sometime.
My last reply says I'm no longer looking for a 4t, I simply lost the time and desire to ride it...I don't see that changing if I traded it for a 4t

I have 2005 KTM 525 SMR, if you go back to looking for a trade. Currently have '04 KDX200 that is registered in CT (rode on Ice over the winter), but think I'd like to replace it with a KTM 200/250/300 in the relatively near future. For now I'm building an '06 YZ250 into a decent woods bike for Hare Scrambles. The KTM 200 XC-W would certainly be a better Enduro bike than KDX200.
done with dirt? or dirtbikes?
man...all that property...all those trails...right out of your backyard...so jelly!
edit: just checked facebook...I get it: dog, house, old chevy truck, street bike. That's plenty. Keep it tight at a few hobbies, and give them all your attention.

Thanks for the offer, if I change my mind, I'll let you know
I still have and plan to keep the Raptor for a trip up north once in a while, so certainly not giving up dirt all together..plus I can still have "some" fun on that in the trails. And one thing I have learned with trails in your own backyard, it's never as simple as just put the gear on and ride, between trees falling, and fast growing face slappers, it always turns into more of a chore than it's worth
You nailed it though, only so much time in a day, the house and dog takes the most time, I enjoy the sportbike and the old truck the best, but even limited time for them

Damn. And here I am just about set to sell the R1 and keep the KTM.
I think we should just schedule a Pachaug ride for some motovation to ride, I know I need it!

That would actually be awesome. I've ridden cr's and yz's but never anything that was actually a woods 2 stroke, I'm really curious if I would like it or if I'm just a 4 stroke personOriginally Posted by R7

I have never even been to Pachaug with this bike...and that's the whole reason I plated it and was keeping it registered and insured.
Let me know when you want to try it, one day after work or a weekend day. There's enough trail in my backyard for you to get a feel for most situations, except for high speeds.
Yamaha
I think you should keep it.....I even got the KTM back together, just needs fuel
I need to get back into riding and stop working all the time!
Another bump!
Yamaha
Bump, still have it, been going back and forth to keep it or not..winter is coming, etc.
As mentioned in the first post, the ideal thing is a trade for an equal value, equal condition KTM 4-stroke.
My bike currently has about 80 hours on it, somewhere around 1,000 miles.
The condition hasn't changed, it's not perfect, but I'd guess 2 or 3 times cleaner than most bikes of this year...keep in mind, I clean it after every ride with a paint brush and simple green..and a toothbrush for the tighter areas.

This bike has nhbubba written all over it!

and there are rare exceptions that I trust a person to take better-than-factory care of their dirtbikes (because most people don't do the high upkeep for them) - typeone, paul ED, and R7

hmmmm....I have an '09 530 EXC that I ride in the woods. lately I have been thinking about a more nimble woods tool, seeing that I rarely take it out on the street (actually never do other then to link trails together)...
