I've seen them advertised new as low as $14,500i paid 15 for mine and I'm happy with what I paid.
That said, based on the 14,500 price...once it leaves the dealer floor the price drops another 2k, and add to that the peak buying season of sportbikes had passed, its not really an unreasonably low asking price in my opinion.
Some people just don't care about their money as well, I found this out recently when I purchased my 2015 ktm for half what the owner paid for it 3 months ago

Yea thankfully I only paid 14,800 to get mine off the floor. But I have seem people paying 1500-3k north of retail for the base!
