AMB 260 transponder

AMB TranX 260 transponder only no charger, takes full charge, 4 green flashes. Should run 4 days on a full charge, I know I have ran it for 3 but never had a need for 4.

What does the # of flashes mean? I've seen that asked a couple of times on posts re: transponders.

Don't mean to derail the thread - I still have 2 more weekends of my free newbie transponder use, but I'll be looking for one of these soon enough.

I never used my free uses because I found a transponder deal I couldn't pass on. You should do the same.

Each flash == approx 1 day of charge in the battery. 4 flashes means 4 days of use out of the charger.

Well, if it's that good of a deal I'll buy it if somebody just tells me how I can charge it without the charger. Is it a standard charger I can pick up from radio shack?

...I don't remember looking too close at mine this weekend, but I don't remember an "off" switch, so once you pull it out of the charger the clock starts ticking, no?

Correct, if it's in the cradle and not plugged in, it's 'sleeping'. The clock ticks MUCH slower in this state. But it does still tick.
