    BMW car guys note Peake Research tool $125

    I have a Peake Research R5-FCX3-U code reader and reset tool. It is the higher lever "mechanics choice" version because it can work on older BMW's with the round 20-pin connector or the newest OBDII-compliant 16-pin connector. Includes the unit, case, adapter cord and booklet with codes. I used it perhaps a half-dozen times in trying to get my 2002 530i to pass emissions inspection with bad catalytic convertors. I gave up and sold the car, don't need this tool.

    Still a current product, they sell for $175 to $180, plus shipping. I'm selling this one for $125, plus $5 for USPS Priority Mail shipping. Or free delivery through most of MA, RI and southern NH/VT.
