    Ford Parts

349 stroker kit for a 302. 0.040 over probe pistons, eagle crank, girdle, lifters, and hold downs. One piston needs to be replaced and you need 4 sets of rings. Was going to use it but sold the car. Looking for $500.

    Re: Ford Parts

I've got some new brake rotors for an Expy. If we all chip in the ford parts we have lying around, maybe we'll make a car....

Old friend of mine did a 349 build for his '90 LX. Stripped the inside and did aluminum pan everywhere, 8 pt roll cage, four link rear, only the two front seats remained and were circle track race buckets. Did the big cowl on the front, unnecessarily large rear spoiler, and painted it "look at me" red/orange. Everything he did to the car was to mesh the fast and ridiculous crowd, and it worked. With the 5-spd, it was a fun car to drive. I had a video of it somewhere doing stupid things.

Sorry to jack the thread, just wanted to say these kits are worth the effort.

I've been finding myself really wanting another fox body lately...

Trying to resist, and shit like this isn't helping.

After owning a couple Fox bodies some years ago, I've thought about picking up another one too! They're getting harder and harder to find with low original miles and not wrecked. I had GT's because back then I thought they looked cooler, but I'd go LX nowadays..

My buddy picked up a nice, low mileage '93 Cobra recently.

Seems there are a few people on here that have/had Fox bodies based on names..

I'm actually really interested in the 2015 GT coming out soon. Maybe some day I'll be able to afford a new one.

    Ohhhhh.... to bad you're wrong...

And why don't you go drive the fucking thing. Less than 1000 miles per year on a built toy? Who do you think you are? Me?

    Bahhh...everyone's a critic...

I ordered the car from the factory in late 1987 and drove it off the lot in March 1988. Drove it only in dry summer days and put it away for the winter. Living in apartments and moving frequently meant I had nowhere to keep it spent most of it's time in storage. So between 1992 and 2009 I had the car put away and I didn't even see it between then. I pulled it out when my son was old enough climb underneath it with me, but my recent D has it back in storage until I gather the funds to buy a house with a garage.

    Still...hatchy FTW!!

    Yea I love hatches.
I had a nice GT drop top though a couple years ago

Not beat or wrecked 5.0 in any flavor (hatch, notch, LX, GT etc) are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Fuck you and your 20k miles Neil

Funny, when I bought mine, I hated everything except a GT hatch with a solid roof. Now, all I want is something other than that or an LX hatch with a solid roof. I don't think I'll ever buy a second Fox unless I win the lotto though - one money pit is enough, and there are too many other cars I want.

    Re: Ford Parts

When I was younger, a buddy and I built an awesome Fox body sleeper. We took an interior burnt 5.0 Mustang and a 2 door Fairmont . Bolted the 5.0 front K-member and motor as well as the rear suspension into the Fairmont. A little fabrication and it was a cool street sleeper. This was around '87 and the motor was an '83 carburetor motor, the Fairmont was an '80.
