    For that price you should be really close to buying a superchicken that is running (at least reasonably) well. It'll need tires, brakes, and the normal consumables, but running.

    $1500 for a non-running superchicken is pricey. NADA lists low retail as ~$1900 (that assumes it is a working bike...).

    Is it a standard VTR or an RC51? I thought it may have been an RC

    I didn't see anything indicating it was more than a standard VTR.

    not worth the $$$ garrett. if it was a CCT failure (very common) it will need an entire top end rebuild. That is worst case. Best case it is carbs which with time and effort leaves the bike still high for its condition. you have seen the one in my garage and i would be lucky to get 2500-3000 for it.
