2000 XR650R street legal dirtbike/ motard ~ 7000 miles on engine.

The Bad

It has not been in use since 2009 and has been in storage since then with Fuel Stabil, Starts up with no issues, carb should be cleaned and electrical should be reviewed, fluids replaced, pads checked, you get the idea. Everything appears proper. Bike was stored outside in fall in 2010 between moves and the front rotor rusted pretty bad, but thats why i'm including a new in box spare never mounted rotor.
Normal wear and tear on bike, never crashed by me.
I'm selling because of time to ride and to wrench on stuff. It used to be a commuter bike when I was in RI and the most fun bike I ever rode but the commute in Boston is a crawl, not suited to this bike. I owned this bike since 2005? and since then had it titled for 2 years and rode it for about 1000 miles max. The bike was a dirtbike for the first part of its life of which i did not own it.

If you know Puppet on this board... he was around when I built this thing up in RI and he rode it a few times i think. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Bike has never on a track or raced.

UPDATE

I tried to take her for a spin this morning to ensure she was ready for a potential buyer this Fri but she woudlnt turn over.. tinkered with the choke, the airbox and such but she didnt connect.
I'm 98% sure all she needs is a good carb cleaning and a spark plug replacement.

I'm willing to give a good deal as she sits right now before I tinker with her this wknd to get her going.

I'm leaving for PA for 9 days this sunday night and was hoping to have her sold before then
