2002 YZ250 with the following gear:

Medium Oneil Helmet
Size 36 MSR Pants
Large Oneil Jersey
Fox kidney Belt
Six Six One Boots size 10
Oneil Chest Protector
Oneil Gloves

Almost bone stock, unmolested 2002 yz250. Only mods are some new levers.

The most reliable two stroke I have ever seen. Idles perfectly, starts 2 kicks when cold in the middle of the winter, and 1 kick when warm.

FFBuell, Larnz, and TWheat can attest to how great this bike runs.

Would this be more of a race style bike as opposed to a woods bike? Sorry to sound so new. Also, being a big boy, is there any limit as far as rider weight to something like this?

Its a race bike (MX)...thats for sure. But as far as the MX bikes go, they say the YZ is pretty good in the woods.

I just trail rode this thing, never really did any mx, and had a blast.

If you haven't ridden dirt before, this probably isn't the best bike to start on though.

I think my 265 would bolt into that chassis...

This motor is absolutely rock solid...I've never been on such a good running 2 stroke.

Thanks for the response, but yeah, i am leaning to something a little more tame to learn on, just wasn't sure if a lower displacement or less powerful bike would be good due to my weight.

Oh, I'm an idiot and didn't even see the first link. So I think I said this before I forget, if you get rid of this you should pick up something small/cheap 100/150 and stud up the tires and come rip the ice with us.
