NOT ME!!!!!!
I had to laugh when I saw this on the GT forum....
http://www.hawkgtforum.com/forum/for...astic-for-sale
And the text from my Ad - I am asking $1200 for it. But like I said, for the family...
1995 Suzuki DR125SE Street Legal Dual Sport / Quasi-moto Supermoto / Starter or Practice Bike
This machine is the predecessor to the long-running DR200SE starter dual sport, and like all Suzuki DRs, is built like a tank. It began life as a factory street legal machine, it is not a dirtbike conversion - therefore it should be legal anywhere. Clear Illinois Title. I bought this bike as to build into a street-supermoto practice bike, with a side intent for occasional kart track duty, and as you can see the bike has been highly modified for this purpose:
The modifications include:
- Powroll 136cc 'big bore' (ha!) kit and midrange cam.
- DMC Alien Stainless exhaust
- KX 100 USD front forks with Cannon Racecraft springs set up for a ~160lb rider.
- Billet top triple clamp for 1 1/8" fat bars
- 19" KX 100 front wheel
- EBC 260mm oversize brake kit & new pads
- Braided Stainless brakeline
- Acewell Electronic Speedo
- 2007 GSXR600 Rear Shock
- DR200 Aluminum Swingarm
- 'Quick change' Fox headlight and Acerbis tailight bracket
Maintenance Items:
- New clutch (less than 800miles)
- New chain and sprockets
- Bridgestone street tires
- Recent oil change
- Recent Yuasa battery (< 2yrs)
The bike originally had 6873 miles before the modification (as evidenced by the original mechanical speedo) and has done only 894 miles since the upgrades.
While my knowledge of bikes (20+ years riding) and my standard of workmanship is quite high in my opinion, this bike was devised as a budget practice/play bike for just scooting around town and testing 'low percentage moves' as I like to say - with this in mind some of the modifications were budget-oriented and while all perfectly functional, they're not all pretty. Some examples might be the 'hackey' front and rear fenders, a small tear in the seat, wear scratches on the engine and frame, and the unceremonious cutoff of the passenger pegs. Admittedly a 125(136cc!) should not be towing a passenger in any case.
Who this bike is for:
Beginning Riders - it's low, light, un-threatening power wise, reliable, crash-proof, cheap, and easy to work on. Good on street or dirt.
Guys who want to teach their wives to ride, but will secretly be using it to practice wheelies and powerslides in the dirt lot behind work.
Guys who are just over going fast and want to explore the trails.
Who this bike is not for:
Anyone who wants to enter a pissing match about how fast their bike is.
Posers who would rather look good on a bike than ride it well.
People who don't wear helmets.
Bears.
Included with the sale:
- Spare gas tank (no cap) - the white tank on the bike had a small leak. The leak was sealed and the tank repainted. The tank leaked again, and I bought the spare, but before I installed it, I tried one more time to patch the original. That patch has been effective for at least 2 years now.
- Spare hubs and brakes - I had planned eventually to obtain 17" rims for the bike.
- Stock cylinder and piston
- Stock Shock
- A few spares such as oil filter, different sprockets, spare tube etc.
- Hilarious 'Craptastic' decal which was the bike's given nickname. If you don't like it, it can be easily peeled off.
So all that said, I challenge anyone to test out a newer DR200SE, and then come and ride this bike. At a much lower price you'll find that this bike handles about 1000x better, and is faster than a stock 200. I would also urge you to compare any other bike available at this price point. While not an outwardly impressive machine, this bike is 100% ready to rock for newbs or experienced riders alike.

I'm not driving 30 hours. I don't want it that bad.
No sense of adventure...
I don't have the time to drive. Too much to do otherwise.
