It is currently sitting in my ground floor bedroom, have ridden it twice in 14 months, so posting it up to see what happens. Started life as a stock 2007 KLX250. Clean MA title, was plated till last year, has MA ORV sticker good through 2015. Has about 2500 miles. I went to town on the mods, intending to do a Trans Labrador expedition on it (never got around to it):
- Bill Blue 351 big bore kit. Ups power from 18 to 27 HP. Degsy installed it for me, he was impressed by the build quality, so that says a lot. Valves were checked when he installed the kit.
- Mikuni Pumper carb jetted by Bill Blue for the kit.
- Two brothers exhaust
- DRC footpegs
- MSR skid plate
- UHD tubes both front and back with 'ride-on' self sealing goo/paste. Pretty cool, I've never had a flat, Google ride-on for video of how it works.
- Pro Taper handle bar
- Highway pegs. Yes, highway pegs!!!! I wasn't doing an 1800 mile expedition without highway pegs, so it has it.
- Touratech aluminum hand guards
- Tusk hand guard spoilers
- Unabiker gold radiator guards
- Clarke 2.7 gallon extended fuel tank
- Maier rear fender - was off a KDX220 that I modified to fit
- Ballistic EVOII lithium battery
- Comes with a spare stock shock. Current shock sprung for 175 lb rider.
- Comes with spare forks. I was going to get the front end redone, so bought a spare set.
- Shock socks
- UFO fork guards
- LED turn signals, aftermarket tail light
- Acerbis supermoto front fender
- Barkbuster B66 bar end weights
- AEI thermometer with remote sensor
- Moose fender bag, headlight cowl bag
- Wired with a gerbing pigtail for heated gear, battery tender
- Various other things I have forgotten about.
All stock stuff I have in one huge box will go with it. Asking $4000 $3250. Just the big bore kit, pumper carb and install was $2k, other mods probably add up to $1500. At my asking price, you will be getting a low miles KLX setup with all the trimmings for a very reasonable price. Located in South Boston. PM if there is interest.
Day I got it.
Since then.
And... as she sits now....

Bump.
Interested in trading for a second track bike. May consider an S1000RR, but really only looking for an RSV4 or RS250. Track-only, no clear title or street stuff needed.
Dammit, if you had posted this a couple months ago I would have had a 250 with spares to swap for it.

Price drop. $4000. And will throw in a hitch carrier to move it on the back of your truck (class 3 or 4 receiver needed).

I am bringing this to the "swap weekend" at NYST on Sep 13/14.
Bump for reduced price. Need this moved.
Wow, at that price it's a steal. It's a great bike. Last time I saw it I was trying to keep up and jammed my big toe between a boulder and my peg while wearing hiking boots...Ahhh, memories. Lol
