Bump. Check engine light has been resolved (replaced water pump/thermostat). Runs like a dream now! I have a pickup truck now so someone please by this from me!

Nah I just feel bad! I stripped the oil plug on my old GS500 but luckily a new oil pan was a super easy swap. Did you get that pan sorted yet? I always get OEM filters at the local Suzuki shop and they tape a new crush washer on there so I always have a fresh one during a change.
