    Kid's Loft Bed & Trundle

My son has outgrown his loft bed, so we have replaced it with a new one. We are selling his loft bed. It is 8 years old, but since my son is only with me 4-6 days a month (2-3 weekends per month), it hasn't seen much sleep time.

It's made from solid pine and it's solid as hell. The unit has a build in 5-drawer dresser and desk. (Photos show it as turned in toward the trundle, but it can be reversed to face the outside.)

The trundle is on wheels and is also as solid as the main bed.

It was made by Barn Door furniture. I purchased it at Jordan's in 2001 for $1100, without mattresses. I am looking to sell it with all bunkie boards and one twin mattress (2 years old and minimal use) for $450 or best offer.

It looks like there are two mattresses there, are you keeping one?

Could you be coerced into meeting me with the thing somewhere between Vermont and your place?

Yes on keeping one of the mattresses. We have a metal trundle under the daybed in our den without a mattress.

And we don't have any way of getting a thing of that size up there. We own 2 Honda Civics.

The end pieces, the dresser and the desk sections, are large pieces.

Edit: If anyone has a pickup we could borrow or help us along with . . .

Depends on when Chris is available. I live in Blackstone, MA on the Woonsocket RI line.

Is there someone closer to Blackstone with a truck? I'd hate to have Keith come all the way down here just to help up move a bed.

Tomorrow's looking to be ok, after the snow.

    Actually, never mind.

I just showed my daughter the pics in the hopes that she would be all excited. She was like, "Silly Daddy, that bed doesn't have a slide."

WTF was I thinking. Silly Daddy.

Women. They start early. Later on it will be, "Silly Daddy, that purse isn't a Coach."

Could you get me the dimensions? My son is 5 and ready for a bigger bed. Not sure if it will fit in his room. I'm right around the corner too, N. Smithfield.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

Hey Chuck - is this still available? Also, I hate doing this, but dimensions would be incredibly helpful. We've been looking for something like this...

Yep. Still available. As for dimensions, I'll have to get them when I get home Thursday or Friday. I'm in San Antonio right now.

It is actually not much wider than a twin mattress, which is 39"x75". So, best estimate for the loft is 47"x83" and the rails sit just under 6' off the ground.

The trundle is just about the same width & length dimensions.
