====Don't whore this thread up please. I'm doing this for my brother and really don't want to sift through shit. Thank you for your respect.====
Okay, so my younger brother just got approved to buy a house. It's a long story but let's just say we had to put in a full weekend of work in order to get it FHA-approved.
So this place needs alot of product to make it all good again.....needs all roof materials (bicheuthane (sp?), shingles, decking, etc), also needs trim, Tyvek, vinyl, sills, some 'rock....pretty much everything that involves building a house.
If anyone knows someone that can point me in the direction of economically-priced products, freebies or stuff that fell off a truck that would be outstanding!
There is Craig's list.
and a few more that are just not coming up in the Goggle search which I know exist.
I shall find them. One is a building supply company in Peabody MA.. it is an odds and ends place off Webster Street. I do not have the name just yet.
There is another in South Boston or Dorchester where you get donated building supplies.
I shall find the names out for you.
There used to be a place on Manchester's west side. I can't remember the name of the road, but it runs parallel to 2-93. Oddly enough, it's called something like, Vermont Building Materials - or some shit like that. It's just what you're looking for: used building materials on the cheap...
I'll take a spin by in on my way home tonight to be sure it's still there. It MAY have gotten crushed by the new Granite St. off-ramp. But someone recently told me it IS still there. I'll letchya know fer sure though...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?

i didn't build, sorry. credit has to go to deeto, although he doesn't come around here much anymore.
and to keep this on topic, also consider so called "energy star" type loans from the government. a lot of times you can do these 0-3% interest depending on income. if you have that much work to do, might as well do the energy star type things if possible and save some coin down the road

Thank you, peeps!
