Not Mine, but ran across this on C List
2006 ducati monster s2r800
smokin deal for a relatively easy fix....
My tank that got replaced by the previous owner who $1700. That's before the Caswell coating. You pickup a used tank via eBay but that's a gamble. CA Cycleworks makes an aftermarket tank that's unpaintable for $5-600 that won't swell.
Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.
Current: 690E. Past: FE250, S1000XR, S1000R, Streefighter S, Monster S2R1000, RC51
There are a bunch of used tanks on ebay. even if it is slightly swollen, who cares...2500 for the bike and another 200 for the tank....still a great deal
th CA Cycleworks tank can be repainted too...but I would rather have a swollen tank thank that monstrosity

Drain the tank, leave it as open as possible. (No cap assembly, drop the fuel pump plug, etc.) After awhile, the tank will return to it's normal size. Casewell it then and be good to go.
That is in my view the best looking of all monster generations. Smoking deal for someone.
