Hey all I have a pair or Michelin Power Race (new low pressure rear) take offs for sale. The sizes are 120 front and 180 rear.
I used them for two days at VIR this spring and for about 5 laps up at Loudon.
First $50 gets the pair.
I will be in the north garage 17 tomorrow (May 11th) at LRRS (Loudon) if you want to pick them up. You could even get them mounted by Sto from Michelin (your cost of course) while you were there.
Just ask for Steve if you stop by.![]()

Sorry they are gone. I'll let you know if more are available.
To answer your question. Yes they would be fine for that. You just have to remember to warm them up first before pushing them (i.e. - do a few mild speed laps). That being said, if you are not going very fast anyway the Power races won't do much for you anyway. Sub 1:20's are possible on PR's with no problem. To put that into perspective most fast track days riders are mid 1:25's at best (yes there are some faster guy's but they are racers).

Shit, they'd be fine for me, an instructor, for MORE than a couple of track days. Had I seen this thread before the race weekend I woulda picked em up.
I'd say most track day novices should be just fine on a street/track day tire like the Pilot Powers or Diablo Corsas for at least a seasons worth of track days (given low street mileage)
