I am a fully certified auto tech..
all oil changes done between 3 and 4k. always full synthetic oil.
transmission and rear axle fluids changed with honda fluids.
brand new tires as of 1/9/16
New rear brakes as of 1/29/16
new battery as of 2/6/2016
what makes this element different from other LX models.
backup camera
7 inch touch display stereo with DVD player and microSD slot.
build in navigation/GPS
2-way remote start.. the remote tells you when the car started.
factory honda tow package.
800W converter.
recent maintenance.
air filter, oil change, engine belt, spark plugs, driveline fluids, new tires
this is an excellent car in the snow... it is AWD with abs and traction control.
the traction control is incredible..
this would be an excellent car for a new driver..
the only reason i decided to sell it is because I need a bigger car for towing.

I have always loved the Elements. Wish I were in the market. You're a Honda tech? So Elements are just as bulletproof as Civics?

Thanks dude.. I'm actually a gm tech on paper.. but I have worked on plenty of Toyota and Honda.. yes they are as bullet proof.. civics are really good.. I bought a brand new Tacoma in 2001.. the best ride I've owned except for Toyota fukin up on the frames. 😭

Did these have a lot of road noise? Or were they fairly quite? I remember test driving one in 2003 and thought it had wicked blind spots, but that was compared to a hard top TJ, which was basically a glass box. Any other annoyances?

Definitely blind spot from the front pillar when driving slow.. like in a parking lot.. looking slightly left, people walking were blocked by it and I almost hit them.
Don't remember if it was noisy..

Ya.. in some cases..
The suicide doors can be a bitch in tight spaces..
It was the best car I've ever owned as far as dealing with snow..
