OP... What is the difference between the "launch edition" you are selling and what I would call the base model?

They are the same just a diff Box and if you can find one you are very lucky so this is a very soild price......

I could be wrong, but I don't think even the box is different. I thought "launch edition" was just something Amazon dreamed up for those who we're going to receive them from the first shipment, so if your receipt didn't say "launch edition" you shouldn't expect it before XMas.

No, it was a Sony thing and GameStop had them and has both Boxes too....My PS4 is in a suitcase type box and no Graphics
