Possibly FS: Modded TTR 125 L

    Hey guys,

I'm throwing this up, with the hopes that meg will move up to a bigger bike (that can double as a spare when friends visit)... This one has YZ80 fork upgrade, and the rear was raised up 1.5" to match. (bike sits 1.5" higher than stock TTR L (16" rear, 19" front) I paid $950 for the bike with a wobble in the front wheel and a torn seat...

Since then, I've added the YZ80 forks/triples, BBR exhaust (woke it up a lot!), new (used) front wheel, replaced torn seat, gave it a tune up (carb clean, cam chain adj, checked valves), oil change - meg put about 20 hours on it and goes anywhere we go on the big bikes (with a little help over the big logs) elissima and hessogood have ridden behind/infront of this bike up a mountain and back

It's a great learner bike, trail bike for riders 160 lbs and lighter, pitbike, mini supermoto - whatever.

Will come with electronic shop manual, original receipts, certificate of origin, and maintenance records I got with the bike (if I can find it all).

No haggle price - $1000 with all upgrades, $925 with ttr forks, $850 with TTR forks and stock exhaust.

These bikes are way too much fun. Great price for the bike with these mods.

I am so tempted. I would like to have another one and just strip the parts off of my current one. My frame is all roached out. The previous owner cross threaded nearly everything.

I would be willing to trade several hours of my proven mechanical skills for this bike.

I am in the process of building a road racer out of my 2007 DRZ125L SE. This would actually be better to start with because some of the upgrades like the exhaust I was planning to do are already done. What year is it? And if I can sell the DRZ quick I would pick this thing up right away.

For the USCRA class the motor can not be over 125cc, so I am just going to go with cams, high compression piston, carb work, pipe, and porting. I will pm you my number if you can give me a call that would be great.

You're allowed a 1mm or 2mm overbore from OEM in Formula XR100 (Or whatever the USCRA calls it) I believe. An oversized valve, and tuning the intake tract length will help a ton as well. (I have to check, the rules may preclude non OEM valves?)

Where are the rules? It is a new class this year so they are not in the acrobat file on the website. And they call it Formula 100 as far as I know.

Page 8 of PDF, or 'page 4' if you printed it on double sided paper, folded it, and bound it properly, contains the Formula 100 rules. Looks like valves are 'ok' to change, and I was correct about the 2mm overbore.

Kitt: If you are selling for $925 with stock forks I'm deducing you'd sell the YZ80 forks/triples for $75. If so I will buy ASAP.

I currently have a 2004 TTR125 and would really like to put the YZ front end on it. Lets do this!

Re: Possibly FS: Modded TTR 125 L

Well I am sorry but looks like I will not be getting this. The DRZ was my dads and he gave it to me so it will no longer save me any money to do it this way. Thanks.

Re: Possibly FS: Modded TTR 125 L

as a heads up - the forks will need seals. I bought MSR fork seals & bushings, but they were crap... I recommend OEM.

the forks will be available to NESR guys for $75 if and only if an NESR member snags the bike with the stock forks, as I see a set of forks/triples/axle/spacers that has 12 bids and is over $300 right now on ebay.

Re: Possibly FS: Modded TTR 125 L

    Dear Alex,

Just saw your PM... A guy is interested in it for my craigslist asking price, if you give me your # I'll call and let you know what happens after I talk to him today (he's called a few times but we haven't set a time to come look at it).

    Love Kitt

The good news is - this means meg is down for the bigger bike!!!! Surprisingly, I dont see many benefits - slightly more power, but 1st gear non-existent, a little heavier, but electric start BIGGER WHEELS <--- that's where she'll benefit the most (some of our trips have turned into log and boulder trials runs (thanks jay and melissa).
