If you go to an auto parts store you can pick one up for under $25 new. There are several standard sizes. You can find one easily that will work well.

automotive horns often require a larger current than a motorcycle horn... making it sound "dead"

I have a handful of horns in the garage, you can have one.

Good point on the current. The auto parts stores VIP right here has a motorcycle rated horn for $14.95
